Post-Graduate training in Internal Medicine - Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, Michigan
NutritionFellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital, New York.
BIO:
Dr. Weiss did his psychiatric residency training at Michael Reese Hospital of the
University of Chicago. He then served on the faculty at Rush Medical School in Chicago
where he taught geriatric psychiatry. While working in private practice, Dr. Weiss started
the second largest partial hospital program in Chicago at St. Bernard’s Hospital. He also
started the Michael Reese Hospital Dual Diagnosis program and taught medical
students and residents at Michael Reese and Chicago Osteopathic Hospital.
SPECIALTIES:
His psychiatric practice currently includes diagnosis and treatment of the major
psychiatric and addictive disorders. He holds an outpatient clinic five times a week
(including Saturdays). His inpatient work is at Ridgeview Institute Hospital and Atlanta
Medical Center in the greater Atlanta area
AFFILIATIONS:
Dr. Weiss holds board certifications in psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, forensic psychiatry
from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He holds a further
addiction certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). He is also
board certified in nutrition and internal medicine which he practiced for several years.
