Physicians and Therapists
We have various types of health care professionals to treat our patients. Our doctors and
counselors work closely with each other to provide the right type of care for you and your
family. Our doctors and therapists provide a variety of services ranging from individual,
couples, and group counseling to medication assessment and treatment. Our staff are all
licensed and board certified. In addition, at Atlanta Behavioral Care, we follow the highest
professional and ethical standards.
Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) & Licensed Clinical Social
Workers (LCSW) have completed masters level degrees in counseling and have more than five
years of supervised clinical work before receiving their license.
Psychiatrists (MD) are Medical Doctors who have completed medical school and a residency in
this field. They are able to prescribe medications, assess medical conditions and provide counseling and
therapy as well.
Psychologists (PsyD) have obtained a doctorate from graduate school in psychology and have
completed post-doctoral internships in clinical care.
Nurse Practitioners (APRN) Nurse Practitioners treat both physical and mental conditions
through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. NPs
can then diagnose the disease and then provide appropriate treatment for the patients, including
prescribing medications
All of the professionals in our group are well qualified to meet your needs.
